A kobold’s scaly skin ranges from dark rusty brown to a rusty black color. It has glowing red eyes. Its tail is nonprehensile. Kobolds wear ragged clothing, favoring red and orange. A kobold is 2 to 2-1/2 feet tall and weighs 35 to 45 pounds. Kobolds speak Draconic with a voice that sounds like that of a yapping dog.

Kalik began his life knowing he was different than the other kobolds. It’s not that he was slow, per se, but everyone else seemed to live so fast. His dragonwrought form was a testament to the blood coursing through his veins, but slow aging that came with it made him an oddity for his hatchmates, and eventually a staple in the community for younger generations. He always knew his calling lied elsewhere, but it wasn’t until he met a true Priest of Io preaching peace for dragonkind that he found it.

In that faith he found peace even in solitude. His upbeat demeanor made him well-disposed toward spreading the good word, and Io’s blessings have simply reinforced it. Thick of skin and quick to heal, he’s more prone to accept insults and injuries as a testament to Io’s peace, but beware of waking a sleeping dragon.

In the half-century since taking to the road, Kalik’s adventures have lead him to wonderful encounters with other dragonkind, and some mixed results when mingling with other priests. Invariably, his message is needed somewhere that suffering and disaster have fallen, and he lets his feet fall on the path Io seems to lay before him.
